The most common sports excuses

Everyone who does sport on a regular basis has already met them. We’re talking about excuses. Here are the ones that most often prevent us from exercising.

No time

The absolute classic among sports excuses. This is so popular because it remains pretty vague and still somehow always fits. How many people can claim to have time for everything they want to do? But let’s be honest: How long do you sit in front of the TV every day or surf the internet without a plan? With a little thought, you can think of a few more unimportant activities.

The question you have to ask yourself in such a situation is this: Is TV programming (or some other unimportant activity) really more important to me than my health? If you don’t want to miss your favorite show, you can combine it with sport. New exercise bikes are so quiet that you can take a lap while watching TV without any problems.

By the way: A fixed date in the calendar is the best way to avoid the time problem.

The weather

I would do sports, but it’s raining today. Or it’s too cold. Or both. Except for storms and severe thunderstorms, no weather is too bad for sports. The only important thing is that you wear the right clothes. There are also plenty of alternatives. You don’t have to run when it rains. Either you go to the gym, the swimming pool instead, or you stay at home and train in your own four walls. The internet is full of varied fitness videos.

fatigue

Maybe you are tired now. As soon as the circulation gets going through movement, tiredness becomes a pale memory. Just start a little slower.

If you are tired from work in the evening, it is best to train in the morning or on the weekends. Exercising in the morning is a great way to start. The additional oxygen gives you energy for the day.

Sport is boring

You only say that because you have not yet discovered the right sport for yourself. There are more sports today than ever before. There is something for you too. Just stay curious and you will find the perfect sport.
A couple of questions to get a clearer picture of this are: What kind of movement do I like to do? Do I prefer to work out at home or in the gym? Alone or in a group? You can also ask your friends if you would like to exercise with them. It rarely gets boring in a tight-knit group.

I have children

Good for you. Still, it’s not an excuse. Just take your children with you. Who says you can’t do some stretches or pace up and down at the playground while you take care of your kids? Or you can take your children to school on foot or by bike instead of by car. Go on hiking or cycling tours with your family. After all, exercise is good for everyone, no matter how old. Your imagination is the limit.

Sport is not for me

If you say exercise isn’t for you, you are well on your way to an unhealthy future. New studies suggest that a sedentary lifestyle is just as harmful as smoking ! Just start small. Five minutes of gymnastics a day, perhaps during a television commercial break, is always okay. Don’t make any more decisions at the beginning. Five minutes a day. When you see that it is doing you good, you will increase the duration and frequency on your own.
